ania cringe is the solo project of Ania Wlodarczyk - vocalist, songwriter, guitarist and producer (she also plays in Cudowne Lata band with her girlfriend - Amina). For the release of ania cringe's material, she created the Striptiz Records label, which also aims to support other girls and queer people on the domestic (and beyond) independent alternative music scene.

ania cringe, using a free trial version of the DAW, created an EDM album in two months in the summer of 2023. Since October 2023, 5 singles from the album have been released:

"dorobic się/get rich” - evokes echoes of the domestic dance music scene from 30 years ago;

„ja lubię cię/I like you" with its house atmosphere and dance captured on video on the streets of Krakow reached the hearts of people on the YouTube platform (excerpts comments: "..this clip is the epitome of Polishness, a great artistic convention...", "hehe it's great, it gets better after each listening, wow great atmosphere, a bit retro 90's", "super intelligent text unlike the crap that's coming out now on the radio. The music video is a real masterpiece, I hope the Arab sheikh was well paid for the photos. And Ms. Ania's voice takes me back to the 2022 holidays in Tenerife);

In January 2024, the single „nie bój się/don’t be afraid" was released - an indie dance song about queer love. The song was included on the GLOW Spotify Poland playlist.

Next single „dziękuję, nie piję/Thank you, I don't drink" - a cult anthem for people who do not need to drink alcohol to have a good time.

The last single is "boska jola" - a song that is not obvious, showing a wide range of musical interests of ania cringe. Vocals processed in the hyperpop style, a synthesizer hook and a music video shot in a gym, plus an absurd title - this is what "divine jola" is like.

The album „POLO DANCE” (March 15th) also includes: a song-manifesto "be my wife", "Arab prince” - referring to motifs from the arsenal of Arabic music (after all, the mysterious Arabic shake has been helping in the shooting of music videos from the very beginning, so the references are understandable...), cooperation with the Polish indie artist Małgola, No - "a good couple" and dreamy house track "dance with us”.

And this is her story…

she gained her vocal training in the church choir of the local parish in her hometown. When she was of school age, she had to face her aunt's excessive fondness for benzodiazepines. One day she confessed to her family that she had a crush on a girl classmate and her cousin performed an exorcism on her. After this event, she fled to her grandmother's sister on her father's side, who emigrated to Nevada after the death of her husband, and in Las Vegas married the woman she met there - the love of her life. ania cringe was cleaning hotel rooms in Las Vegas and singing in casinos in the evenings. That's how the following years passed. Good condition did not leave her, so at the age of 40 she hired herself as a pole dancer in a nightclub. She significantly improved her material status. With her newly acquired used jeep, she drove at sunset to the desert to calm down, and there she experienced a vision. An arab shake appeared to her and said: go back to Poland and try your hand at dance music, tell people your stories and have fun. ania cringe listened to him and recorded an album entitled "Polo Dance".
